In April, Pittsburgh radio host Mark Madden wrote a story revealing Penn State for much of the cover-up of Jerry Sandusky’s alleged child rape that has been exposed in the past week. While it didn’t raise many eyebrows back then, six months later it looks to be incredibly accurate.

On Thursday morning, just hours after legendary head coach Joe Paterno and university president Graham Spanier were fired by the school’s board of trustees, Madden was asked on The Dennis and Callahan Show what he believes the next piece of news will be.
What he said was twice as shocking as anything that’s been released thus far.

“I can give you a rumor and I can give you something I think might happen,” Madden told John Dennis and Gerry Callahan. “I hear there’s a rumor that there will be a more shocking development from the Second Mile Foundation — and hold on to your stomachs, boys, this is gross, I will use the only language I can — that Jerry Sandusky and Second Mile were pimping out young boys to rich donors. That was being investigated by two prominent columnists even as I speak.”

Been following this terrible story all week and if you have listened to Francesa & Kim Jones coverage of this they have done a great job covering this what I have to describe as one of the worst stories I have come across in Sports in a very long time.

Penn State has an uneven way of treating controversial issues. Paterno notified the school but should have notified the police. He got booted out. Michael Mann fabricated the famous hockey stick data to illustrate his view of global warming. He got lionized in large part because he is bringing in oodles of cash to Penn State..

It was the right thing to do, paterno was the man in this university, he should’ve gone down there and drive the guy himselfto the police station to turn him in. is very unfortunate, is something that no kid or parent of a kid wants to go trough.

The school did the right thing. If someone tells you hey a 10 year old boy is being raped in the shower, you dont refer it to your supervisor, you dial 911 and then run in to stop it and save the kid.

What choice did they have. The focus should be on the truly innocent children that were abused for so many years. The alleged molestor Sandusky will get his real punishment (if convicted) in prison. Those guys just don’t like these guys as many have children of their own. (I was an administratration worker in a state prison for a number of years). Paterno enters retirement sullied and bruised but he put his football program and his supposed friendship with this dirtball ahead of the children and it is to his shame. He won’t be judged on his won lost recod when he gets to heaven. but on his humanity and he failed. The university like the Catholic church will be facing massive lawsuits and everything Penn State does from here on out will be based on what is coming down the road. If I was there insurance company I wouild tell them to P… Off!
