He sounds a lot like Dustin Pedroia. If he pans out the same way, the Mets will be very lucky to have grabbed him in the 15th round.

Thank you MNJ, I am trying to get several interviews as we speak. Trouble is during the off-season the players scurry and hide like roaches when you turn on the light. I actually had two players agree to interviews this past week, but when I followed up with them, I never heard back. I plan on going to lots of Binghamton Mets games next year, and Brooklyn games, and even plan on catching some Buffalo games when they play in Scranton. Joe D says he can get me press credentials, so I will be able to talk to the players before and after games! That will give me a great opportunity to make contacts with the players, and will lead to more comprehensive coverage of the Mets minor leagues next season, with actual real time player interviews.

Thanks for the writeup, Petey. I enjoyed it. This kid looks like he has arm and wrist strength and quick hands. Next we’ll see if he can hit sliders and curves.
