What is this talk I’m hearing about Danny Murphy becoming the everyday 2nd baseman if in fact Reyes signs elsewhere. Are the Mets out of their minds? This guy had his last 2 seasons cut short on takeout slides and they’re considering him for 2nd base again.They have a plethora of 2nd base candidates and they want to put a guy who can’t field for shit and has the worst instincts for the game I have ever seen at a crucial middle of the diamond position.He’s either a DH in the AL or a lefty bat off the bench/spot starter in the NL.They cannot be serious.Hello 90 loss season.

I think it’s amazing that a team that is bankrupt and is in the process of being sold is making huge signings…and the Mets cannot even make an offer to Reyes until he shops around. The bankrupt Dodgers, said, “take a chance of losing Kemp next year…F that!” The Mets certainly are amazin’.
