Lots Of Mets Goodies To Share!

Hi Readers, I hope you like the new look…
We’re not done yet as we continue to work on a few things. Plus we need to get the appearance up to Metsmerized standards. 
Adam Rubin of ESPN said in his chat today, that the Mets are planing some tweaks to the uniforms again, and one such change will be removing the black drop shadow.
He says the Mets are looking to reach back and “borrow significantly” from their 1960′s uniforms.
Can I get a Hellz-Yeah!
Maybe that’s the first step to eliminating the black unis altogether especially during home games which is what I have the biggest problem with.
He also reports that the Mets maybe showing off a new patch on their uniforms to celebrate 50 Years of Amazin Baseball!

Finally, how many of you are ready for a return of Banner Day?
Guess what, our buddy Adam says that might happen in 2012 too.
This is all good stuff!
I’m looking forward to all of it next season and no matter which 25 players take the field every season, I’ll be rooting hard for all of them like I do every year…

when they ehaust uni options watch for proposed logo changes This is the BIG CON by flailling franchises with disappointing rosters. The ultimate baseball version of “HOPE & CHANGE” with emphasis on CHANGE!

All of this is nice, but it seems like it is just a smoke screen!
I would like to see them mention something positve about the TEAM, the players on the field. I have a feeling that the Mets are just going to cut payroll to the bone and just forget about 2012 and finish dead Last!
I hope the moving in of the walls, uniforms and banner day are not the biggest news stories of the winter!
I agree Rich, all of this is very cool and nice, but at some point when are we going to improve and enhance the roster?
I don’t hate the black uni’s, but I don’t want to see them more than one or two times a month…I more hate the Hybrid Black hat with the Blue brim. That’s the one thing that really has to leave.
I’d like to see some 80′s style racing stripes once and a while.
What ever happened to the cream retro uni from two years ago? I liked that one a lot.
The Wilponzi’s have awoken from a deep sleep and realized that it’s going on 2012 and the 90′s black uni fad has been over for many moons. Blue walls and Blue and Orange uni’s…Thank you!
Good to see banner day coming back now they have to bring back Oldtimer’s Day and start paying more homage to the team’s history
I will also go on record and say I HATE the black uniforms…. If they have to have a solid color uniform top then how about blue? That being said I would love to see the uniform Gil is wearing as the only home uniform for the Mets…. You don’t see the Yankees screwing around with all different kinds of uniform combinations….

They will remind you of the 60 even without the uniforms!
It will be very nostalgic to say the least!
If your going to lose 120 games might as well wear the uniform of the last Met team to accomplish that!
