Spending $ isn’t the only way. Spending $100mil on a baseball team is not “the cheap” way of doing things.

Beltran is at that point in his career where he has plenty of money!
The one thing he can’t buy is another RING!

The problem as I see it with the fans is we don’t all HAVE money so we value it more than someone who DOES and can’t see where they might have other things more important to them that money can not buy!

And Beltran seemed to like it in NY so the Yankees would seem to be a very good fit for him, he will still get plenty of money, Not have to move and get a chance for another ring!

They’vev had plenty of experience with Boras… his players do not come cheap. If Cashman was smart he’d bite the bullet on Swisher’s option and spend his money on a decent starting pitcher.
