Well I’m gonna stop you right there and say if you cannot differentiate between my using the word belief in the context I responded to Gina……..and what I would actually do running the organization in real life……….and I would HOPE you do then there’s no need to discuss this any further because the only thing i see coming out of this is the usual snarky, sarcastic, bombastic remark you’re good for…..online.

I’ve been believing in miracles since 73. I was a little too young at 8 to remember 1969 or grasp what we had accomplished, but my dad and mom always talked about it for years after so I became kind of an expert. By 73 I was ready to channel my inner Mets fan and I totally did and have ever since. The one thing this team has taught me is the value of patience and to never stop believing until they are mathematically eliminated, and even then I have to double check the math. Today it’s different, fans have no patience, most of them will call it a season in June (even with the added wild card), and so many of them always want to rebuild. Shame, shame, shame.

Hey Ed,
I still get goosebumps and chills watching games 6 & 7. The pileup at the end of seven is AMAZING. The one game I am pround to have in VHS is the Met Vs. Cinci game known as the Ray Knight fight against Eric Davis. Amazing how after that fight, Dave Johnson had to manage players around to be able to play, including switching McDowell and Orosco back and forth between RF and P.
