Jimmy Rollins Questions Jose Reyes’ Motives

Yesterday, Phillies shortstop Jimmy Rollins took jabs at Jose Ryes when he was asked his thoughts about coming out of the game after his bunt single.
“I would have bunted, too,” Rollins said. “I probably wouldn’t have come out of the game, though.”
“The man has had a great year and he’s always had talent. I think this year he was very much motivated to go out there and put on his best showing. In previous years, you just didn’t quite get that feeling from him, being in the other dugout.”
“He had a great year,” Rollins said of Reyes. “But in free agency, you take the year and a career all into consideration. Then on top of that, you take the things they don’t see on the field, the intangibles in the clubhouse, leading the team. Is this guy a winning player? What type of team player is he?”

Really! Jose plays 100% on the field….. Yes, his move was a punk move but WHO CARES? He isn’t the first player to ever do it. I can’t kill a guy for trying to make history especially when this season was lost… Enough already! Move on!
Suppose Reyes played the whole game and went 1-4. Then suppose Braun got a hit his first at bat to pass Reyes in the averages. You think Braun MIGHT have come out? I do.
Pops
Your damn right he would have taken himself out and the media would have used the playoffs as an excuse!
I had no problem with with Reyes did under the circumstances.
However, he could have been 100% wrong in my mind and I’d back him up over the word of Rollins every day.
This is the guy that during the WS Parade, slammed the NY Mets INSTEAD of thanking his own fans for their support. He is the epitome of classless.
Rollins trying to boost his own stock as their both free agents and he’s feeling second fiddle right now. Who cares what he says. He didn’t deserve his MVP anyway what’s he talking about.
Who cares what HE thinks? Rollins can stuff it!
“In previous years, you just didn’t quite get that feeling from him, being in the other dugout.”
Rollins is such a d***
Jimmy Rollins is the same dope who threw his fans under the bus back in the day. He’s also the same POS who was benched for not hustling.
Rollins is a JOKE. There has always been a rivalry between the East Coast and West Coast when it comes to rap music. There is DEFINITELY that anti-NY feeling with Rollins, especially since he’s from Oakland, where Tupac laid seeds to his career. It was Rollins who demanded Jay Z’s Empire State of Mind NOT be played @ his wedding.
Nothing Rollins says about Jose Reyes should be taken seriously. The man is a POS who needs a good old fashioned NYC bitchslap to his mouth.
Jay-Z is a pretty terrible rapper, and Pac is one of the best. So I’m not sure what you’re talking about here.
Rollins is a POS, that we can agree on.
Rollins acts like a dick and tries to tweak Met fans. In other late breaking news, fire hot, water wet.
Screw ‘im.
This guy can take his act to Vegas when his career is over, after all he said he was clairvoyant and could tell what was going on in the Mets dugout. Well Mr. Rollns will you be able to hear the boos at Citi next year-I bet you will and you won’t need your clairvoyance to figure it out!
Rollins should keep his mouth shut because Jose might well end up replacing him if he doesn’t resign with the Mets. Rollins is a free agent coming off a couple of off years partially due to injuries…..
The Phillies will not stand pat with Ruben Amaro Jr at the helm and that means trouble for the rest of us in the Eastern division of the N.L.
Rollins knows that very well and that is why the obvious jealousy is so apparent.
