We have quite a few gutless players on this team.Still waiting for someone in a Met uniform to knock a catcher on his ass.God forbid we takeout a catcher trying to tag someone out.

So true Pete! I love Keith but he adds nothing in the booth except like you said excuses and stories about himself.Ron is the best of the 3 IMO.Gary Cohen should go back to radio.He still calls games as if he’s on radio and we at home can’t see the play.I hate when he yells out that a ball is deep and doesn’t make the warning track.His corny jokes,fake laugh and oxymorons,awfully good and pretty ugly make me long for the days of Ralph,Murph and Nelson.

It doesn’t help when the broadcast booth perpetuates the apologies and excuses. Keith is the worst at that. He is so predictable, whenever a Met screws up, I always wait for Keith to come up with some kind of excuse for the player. And there it is like clockwork. Thanks Keith, for the in-depth analysis. Darling and Gary do it too, only not as sickeningly predictable. Meanwhile, the radio guys never make excuses for players, unless they are legitimate factors in the play.

Always an excuse with these guys.Wright-He made a great pitch on 3 and 2,even though my eyes told me it was a foot outside.Crapuano-I made good pitches and the balls had eyes,yes they saw their way over the wall.Pelfrey he of many excuses.They need to get rid of the loser mentality that these players have.Wright,Pelf,Pagan and Parnell must go if this team is ever going to get to the next level.That’s right Wright lovers.It’s time for a change of scenery for Mr’s Wright.He along with the above names mentioned have no mental toughness.Half the guys on this team have terrible instincts.Not one guy is ever willing to knock a catcher on his ass.They try to dance around him insead of running one over.Can Wright at least walk out towards a pitcher when he gets dusted.He doesn’t have to charge the mound but can he at least show a pitcher that he’s not going to get knocked on his ass without retribution.A few weeks ag in Philly,Wright gets caught in a rundown between 3rd and home,gets tagged out and the Phils pitcher trips over him and goes down.Wright instead of just going back to the dugouut waits to go see if the pitcher is okay after tripping.Are you kidding me.Do you ever see Chase Utley wait to see if one of our middle infielders are okay after one of his take out slides knocks one of ours into LF.No,he gets up and goes back his dugout.We don’t have those type of guys and until we get some,we’re going to continue to be the NL East’s bitches.While we’re at it,ship Murphy to the AL so he can do what he was born to do.DH.I’m sickof watching these pu$$y’$ every year.

I am with you actually Met Maniac. If he thinks this team is going to pay him 6 million dollars in arbitration for what he has done this season, its not going to happen. Non-tendering him will probably be the most likely scenario.

Only the Mets’ lack of pitching depth and his reasonable salary will likely keep Pelfrey in the rotation next year.

Are you kidding me with that statement? He will earn 7-8 mil on arbitration in offseason and Boras is his agent.

this team is full of excuse makers, my pitch is high tonight, my pinky hurts, my back hurts, my neck is stiff tonight, i thought the runner kept going, i couldn’t get a grip, he’s anxious at the plate, he made a “great” 3-2 pitch.. i mean.. lol.. is just comical.. excuses, excuses, and more excuses for their lack of production on the field..
