But I get the implication. It would be just the Mets luck the way they’ve been going the past few years.

When it happens though, here’s hoping it’s clean, no fluke, with someone like Dickey on the mound. Thought for awhile yesterday afternoon we might be watching history in the making. Wasn’t meant to be.

Given the fact that I watched Tom Seaver lose the bid for his back in ’69, I’m hoping I’m still around for when it finally happens. :)
