I wonder how many of those Carlos bashers ever bothered to see why we really lost that NLCS to Cards instead of just making that last looking curve the reason for all Mets and Carlos Beltran’s woes?

He was and is a class act that did community work without fanfare and was a quiet leader this year till his trade.

He will always be for me the best all round player and best CF ever in Mets history.

Joe that was a GREAT piece. What you wrote is exactly how I felt all along with him here. I would get angry at Benigno for hating him, as well as everyone else for bashing him when all he did when he was healthy was be the best player we had on the team!

It’s crazy to think we will be better without him, people will see, they will see that he was so good, that we might not ever have another player who as as good an all around player as he was. The one thing i wanted to see from him was to steal a little more, but if that’s my only gripe then we made out like Bandits!

Stuff like this is why i’m so proud to be on this staff. A good group of us put together our own emotional tributes and from the outside looking in, Carlos Beltran was an amazing man and player. The week is now over and we can all officially move on… I i know that most of us will still have trouble with it.

You know I look at your graphics and the 1st thing is wow that’s pretty cool and then I find myself in Photoshop mode and start appreciating all the possible ways you may have compiled your final graphic.

I’ll be like I think this a layer masks or Hue & Saturation layer mask or clipping mask. I’ll wonder what mode a layer is in Multiply,overlay or how much something was feathered. What opacity or Fill something is in, etc. etc. etc.

In short I am always left way impressed how well you combine all your skills into the final graphics you create.

Like I said I am a big fan.
