I am not saying that Howard is lying, he may have not remembered that they sold these back then because, I don’t think they sold well at that time. In fact I remember paying very little at the time, almost like it was a clearance item. I love my jersey and almost fell out of my chair when I saw them on TV that night. Met fans always ask where I got it and mention that they wished the Mets actually wore them on the field.

I’m not sure if it was here or on Metsblog, but I’m pretty certain that’s what it said. Obviously that couldn’t be the case if these jerseys were sold 4-5 years ago. Oh nad it sounds like Dave Howard has no idea what he’s talking about because he made it sound like they were just designed too, lol.
