All that and Wright didn’t make an out? WOW, Well since Reyes is a superstar, why didn’t he carry the team last night? Why didn’t he steal home and get the run? He is the superstar on the team after all.

to me this was the game, and here’s how stats are SO MISLEADING. first inning with man on third (reyes) here comes the #3 hitter, gets the count to 3-0, here comes a pitch RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE and the man swings and……… foul… next pitch, a ball up in his neck and he swings and miss… then here comes another ball, RIGHT DOWN the middle again, he fouls.. then on a ball he basically couldn’t swing bcause it was up and in around his head, so he drwas a walk..
those are the type of situation where our #3 hitter seems to tighten up.. to me, that was the difference between a 1-0 lead and a 0-0 lead, of course, he goes 2-3 with a walk, that’s a 750 obp, see how misleading that is?? i understand duda couldn’t come trough in the next at bat following our #3 hitter, but again, if you have the green light on a 3-0 pitch, can you at least put it in play?? that is why in 2008 when he hit .243 with RISP yet had 124 rbi’s to me that was more a product of reyes being on 3rd when the man came to bat, than his ability to hit in the clutch.. been saying it eer since, will say for as long as he proves otherwise..
