Lenny Dykstra Charged With “Indecent Exposure”
Just when you think that Lenny Dykstra has hit rock bottom, he grabs a shovel. According to CNN, the former Met has been charged with exposing himself to women he lured through Craigslist.
The charges accuse Dykstra of “placing ads on Craigslist requesting a personal assistant or housekeeping services. The victims allege when they arrive, they were informed that the job also requires massage service and then he (Dykstra) would disrobe and he would expose himself.”
This just adds to a growing list of legal trouble the 48-year old 3-time all-star has gotten into. Following his admission to taking steroids, Dykstra has been accused of bankruptcy fraud, auto theft, drug possesion and now indecent exposure.
Dykstra is scheduled to be arraigned on September 7th in Los Angeles.

A total pig and a disgrace. What a loser!
Lenny….Lenny…Lenny.
I cannot believe the trouble he has gotten into and up to now how he has avoided jail. It seems like only yesterday that his “financial success” was a segment on Real Sports and he was being lauded as a genius in the business world. I guess he fooled lots of people but it looks like his ego and aura of invincibility will be his downfall!
He’s still a gnarly dude.
See you in 24-36 months, Nails!
What I don’t understand is why is this on a Mets fan site. The man is a common criminal and just because he once played for the Mets, doesnt mean every story about this thug should include him in a Mets uniform. His mug shot would be better, I know writers did the same thing with Gooden and Strawberry, but that didn’t make it right either. We don’t need to hear about this guy anymore! The guy is now 48, most Met fans don’t even remember this guy.
probably because he was a Met and a very well liked Met? Just a guess though?
Does this really surprise anyone? The guy was a thug and has always been a troublemaker and a drug user. @Metfan Lou, uh yeah it belongs on a Mets fan site because he was a former (and famous) Mets player. Your argument makes no sense. Most baseball fans have this thing called a memory that they use to remember former players. Everyone remembers Nails, even those of us who were kids when he played. Considering that the Mets won the World Series while hopped up on drugs the whole time, it seems right to show them in their uniforms when they get in legal trouble, even decades later.
Somewhere in my fogged up mind I remember him in a Phillies uniform.
Back in ’89 when they traded him and McDowell to the Phillies it seemed like a curious move to me at the time. Trading 2 young, productive members of the ’86 WS winner dealt away for a 2B whom they tried to put in CF. Given the problems these two have had this year, when they should be older and more mature, makes me think maybe Cashen knew what he was dealing away: TROUBLE. As immature as these two have been this year, how bad were they back in their Mets days as 20-somethings with all the vices and temptations offered to professional ballplayers? Sad to see how badly Dykstra has sunk into this mess he created. Fraud, grand theft, indecent exposure, financial problems…….but this is his mess, he created it and he needs to stay behind bars. As he is now, he is unfit for society.
I am not a psychologist, but it seems to me he has some serious psychological problem. Just read the statement he released when he was first arrested.
