You don’t get it do you? Hu was acquired for an 4A pitcher and was a spare infielder in case someone went down. He didn’t do anything so oh well no skin off anybodies back. Boyer was on the roster because Izzy was in extended spring training. He was a minor league signing so minimal money was involved. Again no skin off anybodies back. Emaus was a rule 5 pick so again minimal money was involved. We tried him out and he didn’t pan out oh well.

Omar had signings like Alex Cora- who had a 2 million dollar vesting option for literally no reason, Ollie Perez- don’t need to say anything, Luis Castillo- no comment, Scott Schoeneweis,and Moises Alou- yay first pick for a combine 102 games in 2 years. I’m not even going into all of them.

Iggy has shown a propensity to not hold a lead or pitch with runners on base so his entrance last night,I guess Terry was looking for a strikeout, was baffling.
I would of brought in D.J. as much as his pitching worries me because of Iggy’s past failures.

I thought this was the game for Pelfrey but his instant implosion against a light hitting is very frustrating.

I am being consistent. The guy had a guaranteed two year deal, very similiar to Carrasco, signed by Alderson. That’s the danger of the two year deal in the bullpen. That’s probably the thinking behind not resigning Takahashi for 2/8 and Choate for 2/3.

Blame Alderson all you want for Carrasco or Minaya for Igarashi but to put any blame at all on anyone for no cost additions that didn’t work out and were quickly dispatched isn’t the right way to look at it.

For every guy you pick up in this manner who does contribute (Paulino, Capuano, Turner, Pridie, Beato, Hairston, your going to have an Emaus, Hu, Thayer, Santos, Sullivan or Newhan. It’s unavoidable, but for a team with holes to be able to fill some without spending assets is vital. It’s a numbers game.

Next year we’ll be stuck with Carrasco too just remphasizing the point.

Well why don’t you apply for the GM job. I’m sure the bullpen struggles are a direct connection with KROD leaving, because KROD certainly would have been in that game last night right?

The only people giving up are the nimrods that think they are smarter then the FO right now, those dangerous people with keyboard and a lower IQ then a banana.

This team was poorly constructed, because a GM that was coming into a mess, with no money to spend was going to just twist his nose and poof, it’s all fixed, yeah that’s how it happens………

by the way, crazy idea, we know parnell sucks, since alderson gave up on the season quicker than us fans, why not let parnell be the closer? it sounds crazy, but we need or should be evaluating who’s stay and who goes, what we need during the offseason, if parnell closes, and fails, then we def know we’ll have to get a closer.. he’s sucked as a SP, Middle reliever, Set up reliever, might as well give him the last chance to see what he’s got.. we got NOTHING to lose right GM??

great win.. because at the end that’s what matters, again, i go back to the bullpen, igarashi sucks BIG TIME, but thanks sandy, you obviously know more than us so, also, beato has hit the “rookie wall”, is a shame this bullpen has been as BAD as there is since the krod trade, certainly hope that the 2 PTBN we got worth something, at least to pass the towels around… ugh.. we keep watching as fans we are, but this team was poorly constructed, and with a little chance to be a little better the GM and front office gave up on them.. i do not know what this front office will do in 2012, my grade for the F/O in 2011 was a D-, entering 2012 they got money, we’ll see how “smart and savvy” our GM really is..
