    I like the blue jersey alot, like the white one too, hate, with a passion the black and I love the road grey classic NY baseball uniform.

    I’d go pinstripes 50%, white 25%, blue 25% at home and Grey 75% blue 25% on the road.

    Ditch the black it’s not a Met color.

      T, with no stat; but mere recollection, I’d swear we losae nearly every game when wearing July 4th caps, throwback jerseys, Nergro-League commemoration Unis, whatever the alternative of the day’s commemoration is, incl “LOS METS”; I feared doom the moment I saw them!

  I’m not crazy about the white jersey, but the blue they’re using now is HOT! Love it! That should be their road jerseys.

  Why do the Mets have so many different uniforms? Most teams just have home and road uniforms.

  I love the blue uniforms, just get rid of the Los mets and make it Mets or New York and I’m sold

  I LOVE our blue and orange. I would love to see yesterday’s jersey as our alternate
  uni or an orange uni like the Giants. We don’t respect our colors enough.

    No, it’s not a good idea to give preferential treatment to any ethnicity – it’s about baseball and ALL ethnic backgrounds love Baseball. Baseball is what should bring them together.

      Haha, no that’s not what I meant, sorry. Start like a website or something to keep the blue jerseys is what I was saying… scratch out the “los” for next year’s alternate jerseys unless it’s the Latin night, or whatever it was called…

    I agree, I like the shirts but giving preferential treatment to any ethnicity is wrong.

    My background is latino but even i was never a fan of any of the ethnic nights the Mets have. I think all they do is divide people. Keep the politics out of baseball and instead they should have more give away nights instead of latin, korean, italian or whatever nights they have. NYC has ALL kinds of ethnicities that love baseball or are discovering baseball and I don’t think any ethnicity should be singled out and celebrated. They don’t have Middle Eastern night, Indian night or Norwegian night so they shouldn’t have latino or italian night as well. How about just “Baseball” nights with more giveaways like bat day, helmet day, funny nose and glasses day..stuff like that.

      I believe it’s ok to honor the latin heritage in this country. I mean, it’s all done in good spirits and not meant to insult anyone. I don’t really mind either way, but I don’t think it’s necessarily bad.

      How about bringing back banner day…

      Bayonne, every once in a while, I agree with you completely. The sun, planets, and moons must be aligned!!! We have our Mets on the field and the fans can have their heritage nights in the stands. Never the two should be confused.

  I know I’m going to start a firestorm with this, but ethnicity is nothing to be ashamed about. New York has always been the melting pot. Most foreigners made New York City their home, thus calling our great city the Melting Pot. If anyone should have a day for all cultures, we should. Italians, Latinos, African Americans have all contributed greatly to MLB. I don’t see the problem. Los Mets is a fantastic way to market the Mets and market to the ever growing Latino community New York City has. I don’t believe having a night for an ethnic group that greatly supports, influences and participates in every aspect of baseball is a bad thing at all.

    I don’t think it’s a bad thing either. Its simply a way to get some people out to the game that otherwise might never go and a bit of fun for people to meet up with their family and friends on a particular night and hear a live band before or after.

    I’m not latino but I’ve enjoyed Merengue night and Latin fiesta and I really can’t understand anyone getting upset with Los Mets on the jersey once in a while. What’s the big deal. It doesn’t take anything away from any other ethnic group to recognize another one and lets face it, baseball is as big a part of Latin culture as American, maybe even more so and its certainly more appropriate than green Met hats or red Yankee ones.

  The Mets have different heritage nights; Italian, Polish, Irish, German, Israel, Venezuelan, etc. But they don’t have a different jersey for each heritage. Keep the blue jersey (which looks great), just lose the Los. Just to keep it fair, otherwise others feel excluded. Here are all the different themed heritage nights:

    Jim, I totally concur with you I root for The New York Mets, not Los Mets, that´s how my father call them because we are from El Salvador and not from The Salvador. So don´t mess with the name.
    With that said, I LOVE the uni and I would like to see that more on the field.

  I’m also a big fan of the blue jerseys! They looked super sharp! Although I still like the black jersey with the white pants but if I had a choice, I’d go with the blue!
