I’ve often thought that he is wasted as an announcer and should move into the executive office area. However, if questioned, Ron would tell you he is just lucky. Not so, he worked hard to get where he is – did you know he played 4 sports at Yale and studied Chinese language and history (his Mom is Chinese).

Keith Hernandez took time off after his playing days, and then returned to the broadcast booth to team with Ron, they are the best pair working these days, except for Vin Scully who works alone. Keith knows more about how to play behind a pitcher than anyone I know. He also makes good use of the infield and still excels on first base. His knowledge of the everyday games is right on.

The Mets can’t lose with these two.
