Thanks Brandon! You’re right. It seems that it is Sandy himself. I’d usually be a bit hesistant to think it’s really him, but then again, the GM of the Indians has a Twitter. Add to the fact that I recall Sandy saying something along the lines of keeping in touch via Internet not long after he was brought in as GM. Thanks again.

Omar didn’t do enough of this type of move. He specialized in the 2.5 M – 12 M dollar deal for the bullpen with guys like Wagner, Schowenweiss, Putz, Mota and K-Rod. A little more of the reclamation type waiver wire acquisition would have at the very least, provided some depth at no cost. How can anyone be against that?

Ok, since you can’t find it, i’ll post here for you. MMO is already friends with him, as am i. As far a legitimacy is concerned, i think he is the real deal. He sounds, and talks intelligent as he always has been.

Do you have a reading problem? Who is putting halo over his head, stop making crap that isn’t there. NO one would kill Omar for signing this guy either if it was to a minor league deal. Difference is, Minaya would have signed him to a long term 25M deal.

MCI: Whether it was Minaya or Alderson I liked this signing. Right now Alderson is the GM and Mianya isn’t What Batista brings to this bullpen is diversity he can do a lot of things, he gives you a decent chance to win. He can do a variety of things and more importantly he’s a veteran leader this team needs.

I won’t be judging Alderson until I see what he does with trades, free agents, but more importantly what is done with Reyes. That is how Sandy Alderson will be measured by me.

It is amazing that the people here will find a way to wrap a halo over Alderson no matter how rotten a body he brings in. If Minaya signed this guy, you’d all be beating on him endlessly and you know. The people on this site have a real problem with reality or is it the hypnotism bring voice of Alderosn that did it. Baseball knowledge, or judgement doesn’t exist on this site anymore. Sad.
