Great piece on Carlos, I remember how Agee patrolled CF back in the day and Mookie, Mazzilli but Carlos was the one who had the 5 tools and if not for the injuries would of had an MVP and more Mets records.

I can see the debate on him being overpaid for the numbers he put up in the playoffs but he will go down as a respected Met in history. Hopefully, his time with the Mets isn’t over.

well written piece bro, I too am a big Beltran fan, and never really understood why he wasnt more appreciated in his time with the Mets. I understand the injury aspect and yes I think we may have paid too much for him based on his short time with the Astros, but to me this guy will go down as one of the top ten Mets to ever wear the uniform.
