I think they were counting on getting Rasmus or Beltran and when those guys fell through now may make a run at Houston’s Pence. Going to be an interesting final two months.

Beato? For a rule 5 guy (aka free), been phenomenal. Young was good, didn’t hold up, move on. But he was signed cheap, so no harm. Boyer got hurt. It happens. And Hu was an emergency glove, that was cut loose quick.

Gee, I notice you never include guys like Izzy, Paulino, capuano, etc. on your list.

every team signs a bunch of parts to sort through. Hell, the Phillies sign all the met retreads, including Castillo!

Overall, given the entrenched contracts and maxed out budget he inherited, Aldersn IMO has done a fine job putting together a competitive team.

The problem is Beato. I cannot believe that a guy who has been pitching as long as he has cannot repreat his motion. Half the time he falls backward. He has a top flight arm. You would think they could correct that. That would allow Izzy to get some more rest. Considering the number of surgeries Izzy has had, he has been phenomenal.

What a joke on 2 of the HR hit by Votto in this series, really, a wind blown one to LF would of not made warning track in some parks and a fly ball over a 404 ft fence.

Proud of Mets cause they won without aid of HR friendly park which will play well in other parks, just need to get going at Citi.

Once again Capuano can’t make it past the 6th inning, and there are some saying to sign him in off season, for what BP?

Capuano worries me cause of all the HR he gives up plus he is a 6 inning pitcher and he wears out the BP when he pitches, sheesh, dude we gave you a 6 run lead and you just blew it!

Beato, Acosta are just a mystery from game to game, Terry does not know what he is getting from these two but Parnell seems to be getting better at working the plate, batting order and using his off speed better.

Great win yet Izzy still worries me, hopefully he lasts till end of season.

He was working hard there in ST and to start the saeson. He was improving defensely. But needed at 1st and 3rd base because of injuries. See the NL 2nd baseman and he is at the top of all oof them .320 Average. He will do well there and will work hard. Errors happened this year more so because of his moving to 3 positions. Staying at 2nd will help him.
