Willie Harris’ Wife Loses Her Baby

Willie Harris’ wife Trey, who went into labor at the five-month mark in her pregnancy, lost the baby last night.

Terrible news to say the least. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Willie Harris, his wife, and their entire family.

Mets outfielder Willie Harris had to leave during Wednesday’s game to fly to New York after his wife Trey unexpectedly went into labor only five months into the pregnancy. Our prayers and best wishes go out to Willie and his wife.

The Mets placed Harris on paternity leave after the game, and re-called outfielder Fernando Martinez from Triple-A Buffalo. F-Mart was hitting .266 with six homers and 23 RBIs in 158 at-bats this season, and recently returned from a DL stint because of a flare-up with his arthritic right knee.

I would rather have Harris’s pregnant wife join the team than Martinez.He can’t play a lick.

Wow, that has to be scary. Luckily, we have a couple of very good pediatric ICUs here.
