The problem Donal is they should not be looking at the symptoms in this day and age and examining the MRIs instead!
Our medical staff has always leaned towards downplaying injuries instead of curing them. They believe rest over treatment is the proper course of action and thats why we have the injury history we have!

Well only in regards to the fact that Sandy cleaned a lot of house around here but not in the Medical department.

Is that something you can really hang on Sandy? No except in the extreme sense of the “Buck Stops here!”

I’m less interested in fixing the blame and would prefer we just fix the problem!

We need fewer optimists working the Player’s medical plan!

Oh, what a surprise, Met doctors misdiagnosing an injury again. Apparently, the boot he was wearing made the injury worse according to what I read from CBS. Who knows. All I want to know is why didn’t they clean house on the medical side like they did the front office and coaching staff? I mean their track record coming into 2011 wasn’t real rosy to start with. Jose Reyes, hamstring injury mistaken for a mild calf injury. Carlos Beltran, bone bruise in knee which they felt didn’t require surgery. A possibility they also missed David Wright’s stress fracture. I mean, after 2 or 3 weeks of taking pain meds and still no relief you’d think they would be smart enough to get tests done to find out the problem, but, they didn’t. These guys must be the Wilpons own personal family doctors which would explain why they’re still employed by the Mets.

Oh you know that Jessep. The hunt is on to find a way to blame Alderson. That’s been job #1 for the newly devoted desicples of Mullah Omar since a couple of weeks after Alderson was hired.

Because you have to wait to see how these things turn out. They look at the initial symptoms and make a guesstimate. What we have to hope for now is that they don’t drag this out. I see no reason to try and force Davis in this year if he’s not healed up in 3 weeks.

In response to this new information about Ike …..

Why does it seem like an injury that causes a 3 week layoff always develops into a much more involved issue? Truthfully, I think that the organization should be looking for new doctors who get it right the first time! Then again, it would be nice if the team was upfront and honest in keeping the fans informed from the start. Looking at the play that caused the injury many might think that Ike is a soft player but any time a player has his feet taken out from underneath and he rolls with his weight over the ankle area it can be serious. Ike is a key part of this team and was destined for a 25 homer, 90 plus RBI season with a very solid glove and most of all provided protection in the lineup hitting anywhere from 4th to 6th.

Is this the ankle injury Ike incurred from falling on his rear end in Denver? How does one bruise there ankle so badly by falling on their tushie? I think its pretty obvious that the Mets have not been upfront about how both Ike and David injured themselves.

This season is lost anyway. We are 10.5 games out. We have absolutely no shot at a wild card. For Ike Davis get him the best doctors and surgeons, repair his problem and rehab for next year. We are not contenders, we are practicing for the 2012 season and a full staff to include Santana. There wasn’t much rhere at the beginning of the season so why all the fuss?

Maybe Ike bumping into DWright made his injury worse? No one ever thought of that. I know why, because Wright sucks. His 100 rbi’s, close to 30 hrs every year are now worthless, afterall his K’s are up, so everything is his fault now. Maybe we can get a bag of balls for him, we don’t need those 100 rbi’s after all his don’t matter, they are just stat padding runs.

Oh no, defending Wright is against the MMO law too……
