Jose is no doubt having a fabulous season but so far he has been totally healthy. Not a muscle tweak or anything thank God and this has never happened before. Even if he doesn’t miss any games to injury he will surely feel the summer heat and humidity if New York and need a blow on occasion. Take away a game or two for that and the idea that his hot streak of the past 6 weeks or so will most likely cool for a week…and there goes any chance of the record…

HOWEVER…..WE AS MET FANS KNOW HE WILL BE A SERIOUS CANDIDATE FOR MVP WHICH HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ONE OF OUR GUYS IN 50 YEARS.

a healthy Jose Reyes hitting .320 with 50 plus stolen bases, a hundred plus runs scored, with 40 -50 doubles and somewhere in the vicinity of 20 triples would be

Look at his full season, Ichiro had 166 hits in the next 96 games. That would be hard to duplicate. But give Reyes props for probably coming as close as anybody has or will.
