If they win the last game then I believe that when they come in late summer for an important game or two that the fact that they at least took the series will mean a lot especially for the young players.
We beat Jurjeins for the 2nd time, he had Mets number in past and Hudson, great achievement.

Gee continues to show Mets and teams, who now know he loves to wk off his change that he deserves to be in rotation.
The fact that he doesn’t blow batters away if irrelevant for a pitcher like Gee.

By the way anyone notice that during his post game presser Gee sounded like the “Godfather”?

Maybe not with flash, other than running the bases, Mets are showing that they can score w/o the HR and this puts a lot of pressure on other teams.
Lets get the BP going also and then Mets can go on winning stretch against the upcoming AL teams.

Props to Bay for his play in LF and his t2 hits and SB, it’s a start.

Also as much as I want Wright gone you also have to be sure that we do have adequate production from 3B. Turner’s been out for a couple games but I think is back today so this is important because although Turner was in a little funk I want to see if Turner can continue to give us timely hitting over the next couple weeks and if he’s able to do that and look like he is ready to take the position over then i’d probably pull the string.

I just have to be sure Turner can replace him. If Turner continues to slide than you have to hold onto Wright.
