What are you talking about? You are now making UP LIES because you don’t like Wright – a 220 hitter with a few home runs? Now you are just making a fool of yourself, again.

Try a career .300 hitter, on or close to 30 homeruns and 100 RBI’s a year.

Ike is untouchable if you ask me…

Wright lost a ton of value with his Back issues, Back issues never really go away they just subside and creep up every now and then.

Harvey can fill a position of need, so you don’t trade that!

we should trde wright. the only thing he’s hit solid in the last month was ike davis.

This team needs more Ike’s, Ruben’s and Harvey’s. Three years from now they should be our core, not the Mariners. Where will Felix be in three years? Will he be Doc Halliday or will he be Scott Kazmir? Who knows but you make that trade and chances are better than even we get worse at 1B, STILL have no one at 2B (or SS) and not just one but TWO missing front line starters.

It’s way past time that this team starts attempting to get the BEST years of every player, not the one’s before or after.

As for Turner, it’s just another example of how a player in his prime (age 26) can out perform a player who’s prime is a few years past even when that older player will have had a better career overall.

but again, i am not saying he’s worth hernandez or greinke by himself, if you see my posts you see i am wishing they trade him along with others for a guy like felix or greinke at that time.. he’s not worth an ace, or a good #2 if you ask me

if it was up to me i would’ve wright straight up for zeinke a while back, but it didn’t happen and we’re stuck with him and his value diminish by the second, he’s nothing but an excuse maker who chokes in big spots and rely on other players around him to put up numbers, we all saw what happened in 2009 when he didn’t have reyes leading off the game for the mets, he became the white version of placido polanco, then, he’s trying to hit home runs and the result is striking out like crazy while still choking..

You’re the one who mentioned felix hernandez yesterday, right? Well anyway, I would trade for him in a heartbeat, but they would have no interest in Wright who already makes a ton of money, is due more, and then quickly becomes a free agent.

I would offer Ike Davis, Matt Harvey and Ruben Tejada for Hernandez. Youre giving them a solid bat, our number one pitching prospect who has looked lights out and already won two player of the week awards from Baseball America, and Ruben Tejada. Three playwers with great upside who the team can control for 7 or more years.

first of all, trading right is the right idea, he can get more value imo, trade him with pelfrey, parnell, and a prospect and see if there’s an ace out there worth taking,
second of all, shut down santana for the year, is obviously the mets aren’t going nowhere, why risk an injury
sign reyes, try to create more salary space by getting rid of dead weight bay, see if someone is willing to take him and we pay salary, he just sucks..
have pitching, pitching and pitching… we don’t need home run hitters, we need contact hitters who will put the ball in play, we have hittters who wanna pull the ball or swing for monsters home runs when is obvious unless they move the fences is not gonna happen, and last but not least, i see how fragile ike davis is, if i’m sandy, i’m thinking about trading him to get a real first baseman, aka pujols? prince?
