Here's my mid-season, biggest Mets' Prospect disappointments list. Most are due to performance, some are injury related: Brad Holt, Kyle Allen, Wilmer Flores, Cesar Puello, Reese Havens, Brant Rustich, FMart, Francisco Pena, Marc Cohoon, Robert Carson, Raul Reyes, Kai Gronauer, Eric Campbell, Brahiam Maldonado, Eric Niesen, Brandon Sage, Scott Moviel, John Church, Aderlin Rodriguez, Darrell Ceciliani, Wilfredo Tovar, Sam Honeck, Javier Rodriguez, Blake Forsythe, and Eric Goeddel. A few have been hampered by injuries, like Rustich, Goeddel, Havens, and Gronauer. The rest have been playing regularly, but have either been up and down, or they just plain suck. The worst of the worst have been Kyle Allen, Eric Campbell, Eric Niesen, Sam Honeck, and Blake Forsythe. Those last five have been putrid, and you can release them anytime Sandy. Tomorrow I'm going to post my biggest pleasant surprises for the first half!

Yeah Alex, I thought he had finally started figuring things out last year (.306) and was going to get a better chance this year to stick as the righthanded bat off the bench. Then we signed Hairston and his ML time has been sporadic this year. I would had tried at 3rd when Wright went down and given him at bats. I thought he was going to become a free agent and sign with someone else when we last sent him down. I don't think he will get his fair shake here (12 sporadic at bats).

Why dont you stop putting the kid down everytime he does something positive? Do you have any idea how many times Pagan had the same issues until he finally figured things out and became a regular player? Do you know he's 29 and last year was only his first full season? Relax.

Yohan Almonte is showing very nice development over the course of this season. He seems to be growing with each start he makes in the SAL.

Tillman Pugh hit his first HR. That is a nice little milestone cause that kid is going to be fun to watch. He has Citifield written all over him.

The Akeel Morris watch is on! The 6'1" 170 pound youngster from the Virgin Islands has an electric arm.

Also keep an eye on Domingo Tapia at Kingsport. He's come out of the gate strong with two good starts so far.
