I have noticed Sarge. He's finally starting to carve out a career for himself. I'm glad to see him finally have success.

Nice 4 pitch quandry he presents on the mound. Good to see him pitching well.

Strange about him and his two college starting rotation mates from Rice University. All three drafted in the first 8 picks of thee 2004 draft. Jeff Niemann is trending down right as Humber's coming up and Townsend's pitching in an unaffiliated independent league now.

Too many college innings on those arms when they were too young. Hope Phil can keep it up.

Hey Agee you checked out what Humber is doing this year?

Humber has not looked too bad pitching with White Sox this year.

Humber 7-4, 2.89 ERA, 1.20 WHIP

Not bad for a throw in to Twins in Santana trade?

They weren't all up this year, but they are: (1)Jake Fox was the king of spring training and up on the Orioles for most of the year until just recently, (2)Brendnan Harris was the Rays/Twins starting shortstop for about three years, (3)Nick Green has 1,000 career at-bats with various teams, (4)Josh Bell had the Orioles starting job for a brief time last year, and (5)Brandon Snyder had a couple cups of coffee.

Nice recap Nick. Who were the hitters on the Tide that Schwinden got through who had been in the Majors this year?

I know a lot of people are going to want to rush Harvey up here but it is best for him that he goes through a little failure and makes some adjustments and then finds success against the same lineup. Maybe it was just nerves, excitement or perhaps his stuff just fell flat in his first start. Regardless, let him face the same lineups 3, 4, 5 times and learn to make adjustments to their adjustments and so forth. Otherwise we could wind up with another Pelfrey or Humber on our hands and that would be a real shame because Harvey looks right now that he could be at least a real solid frontline 1 or 2 and it would really be a shame if we didn't fully develop him to be the most he can be, for us, in our uniform.

     Good job Nick.
