That scenario would likely play out when they trade Jose Reyes for an inexpensive bag of balls due to the dire financial condition they are in. Tejada and his surprising .300 bat slide over to SS, thus opening up spots for Duda, Turner and Murphy until Davis returns.

Why not cut Hairston, bring up Duda who plays 1B vs RHP (Nick Evans vs LHP), with Murphy moving to 3B (his natural position when drafted) and Turner at 2B. This way you have everyone playing their natural positions.

about time to “learn” that Bay has been playing with a sore calf, and needs a few weeks off to work with a swing doctor (er, rest and get healthy, yeah, that’s the ticket!). Then roll Duda out while he is locked in and see what he can do.

Flow is right, if Murphy and Turner were not both hot, Duda could be getting the call to play 1B instead.

anyway, this is not really new (the YTD stats), since that is about what he put up last year in the minors. Heck, he even had a very good finish to his September call up, after somewhat of a slow start!

far from enough, or consistant, ABs this year to really prove anything.

If it wasn’t for the fact that Murphy got hot as of late, Duda would’ve been called up to man 1st base with Davis out for the foreseeable future. He’ll be up soon.
