        I actually haven’t voted for the All-Star Game… nor will I. Why?

        Because I’m not 11 years old

        But also I don’t need to see my favorite players start in the AS Game to feel good about myself.

            My life is slightly more impacted in a political election than in a baseball game that doesn’t count.

            I watch the game, but it’s a game that doesn’t really count and it’s a game where baseball attempts to showcase its stars.

            At the end of the day Reyes being the starter or Reyes being a reserve doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things.

            I just think getting all worked up over whether or not Reyes wins the SS job is a waste of effort that’s all.

            To me voting for the All-star team is a job for the younger fans, especially when you talk about voting 20+ times.

            I don’t vote for American Idol either.

              Personally, my reality TV experience is limited to NG-Discovery shows+ Pawn Stars, Pickers,etc…

  This vote is on reputation.
  Tulo had that stretch where he hit a bunch of HR and had a lot of RBI, Sep I think, and is a SS with power and a strong arm like Reyes plus he plays in a HR friendly park.

  Other than HR and RBI he and Jose are equal with Jose being better runner and base stealer but Tulo is the face of Rockies and Jose has been hurt the past two years so Tulo has gotten the lion’s share of publicity.

  This year Jose has the better year but as I said it is all on reputation and face time.

  Reyes definitly deserves to be an All-Star…

  But I gave up voting Mets to the All Star game for lent!

  Too Many times have I voted to get them in only to see them come back and go on an extended slump or ruin all the performance they were giving that earned them that All Star spot.

  As much as I would love to see the Mets represented at the Summer Classic I would much rather have them sitting safe at home, taking that nice three day rest to recover from the first half of the season so they can come back when it counts and make it count for us not just whoever wins the NL Pennant!

  I believe it was Wright’s participation in the HR derby that made him swing for the fences. And I think Reyes just going last year probably delayed his return from injury because he didn’t just rest that oblique and let it get some rest.

  I am more concerned with making the playoffs and WS than I am with HFA and if a Met is going to represent us then let the fans of other teams put them in.

  I would rather they stay home and take a nice breather so they can finish strong in August and September!
