Number Seven, Is Number One

MetsBlog informs us that last night, Jose Reyes passed Darryl Strawberry and David Wright to rank first on the team’s all-time Runs Scored list with 664.
Reyes also needs two more hits to pass Cleon Jones for second place on the Mets all-time leaders in base hits with 1,189. Eddie Kranepool, who has 1,418 base hits is the all time leader.
Jose is already the all-time franchise leader in triples (89) and stolen bases (348).

Too bad Alderson don’t want him and Wilpon wont pay him. Enjoy your finest years in Philly Jose. At least we’ll get to see you 19 times a year.
Alderson doesn’t want him?
Oops sorry, doesn’t not don’t. Was never very good in grammar.
Thats not what I meant. Where do you get the idea Alderson doesn’t want him?
If he wanted him why would the agent say he’s not had one conversation with Alderson about Jose Reyes, not even an inquiry?
Because Reyes said he doesn’t want contact negotiations during the season. And also we are only approaching the end of May. And probably the waiting and seeing what would happen with the new infusion of money with the team. Don’t jump to conclusions.
Why would Reyes’ agent openly discuss multi million dollar negotiations?
If Reyes wants more than a 4 year deal, let him walk. Speed guys go into decline quickly at age 31. I have no interest in carrying Reyes until he is 35 or 36, no thanks.
Number Seven, Is Number One… on the trading block???
lol, jk… is a shame the BEST player on the mets roster will be no longer with the mets come around july… if i was the GM, i’d be thinking hard and long about trading a certain superstar for pitching, because it seems he won’t handle the pressure of being the “leader”
