Does the team you intend to trade reyes have two 1st round picks to give you in return? If they do why? Is it because those players are not all they expected them to be?

Why take 3 guys from a LIMITED list of 40 when you can get two of the best players out of a selection of 1000s!

We do not have to TRADE Reyes! We do not have to do anything but offer arbitration to get those picks.

And it is THOSE PICKS that are more likely to reduce the amount of money Reyes gets offerred than anything Fred said!

However, after minimizing these players value in such a public fashion…I’m sure Alderson’s phone has been ringing off the hook by other GMs wanting to acquire these players at a lower price, since Wilpon, essentially, announced he does not feel that Wright, Reyes, and Beltran are worth a tremendous return. How can The Met’s actually decline an offer for being too low when these players, in the words of the owner, are injury prone, 65-70% of what they were, and just a good player. Another poor business decision by a man who is becoming more and more known for making poor business decisions. Idiot.
