Blame, blame, blame. Baseball is a physically rigorous game and bad things happen regardless of the best made plans. Other teams have injuries too. This isn’t just a Collins, Manuel, or Willie issue. It’s not a Warthen, Peterson, Hough, or Ruhle issue.

That is not to say certain players haven’t been mistreated with ill-devised plans put in place to save a manager’s or a GM’s butt. Names like Ryan Church, Daniel Murphy, Pedro Feliciano (overuse) and, yes, Jenrry Mejia, come to mind. But these numbers are much smaller. One of the reasons that players drafted out of college go for a premium over high school kids is that there is less developmental risk of a kid being injured or washing out.

Dillon Gee should be in minor as a stater and not up here. If we need a starter he will not be streched out.

I know ultimately it’s Collins call, but I have to start thinking that Warthen is the one to blame. I’m sure he told Collins that Beato would be good to go 3 innings. Or if not, he should have told Collins not to do so. Again, it comes down to Collins decision, but perhaps Warthen is just as much to blame. How much longer does he keep his job?

You all spent a year and a half beating up on Manuel for lousy managerial moves. Where are the posts beating on Collins for sending this kid out for 3 innings.

Okay I’m losing count now, how many of the new guys have been hurt or cut alreay? Lets see we got Paulino, Young, Boyer, Beato, Buchholz, Emaus, did I miss anyone? I wont count the ones that suck like Harris, Hairston, Byrdak and Carrasco because technicaly they aren’t hurt.
