No getting around Murphy’s miscues at first last night.

However, if Izzy didn’t give up a run, if KRod didn’t put 2 on before Murphy let that ball go by, this game could very well have ended different.
I know it’s Frankie’s MO but constantly putting guys on in the 9th before he shuts the door, well, leaves a greater chance of not getting that door shut.

Point being there was more than one ‘goat’ in that game last night.

After watching last night’s game and now that we are 8.5 back at the end of May and headed deep into the cellar. the Mets should start now on a dismantling and rebuilding program. There is no wild card to be had. We got stomped by the Cubs and lowly Pittsburgh put the whupping on them yesterdsay. What does that tell you. Identify key players to keep like Ike Davis,Gee, Niese, Paulino (I like him better than Thole) etc., and start dealing the rest. I see no upside in trying too hang onto guys we can’t afford like Reyes and Beltran and Bay we are stuck with. He stinks so bad even the cesspool cleaning guys won’t go near him. The sooner we get on with this the sooner the pain will be over. This is a sad team to watch! I know Einhorn will only get 25% but in the interest of his money, hope he has some influence unless he hust wanted a 200 million dollar owner’s box?

It is clear why they pulled him. He has proven that if he goes past 6 he is horrid. The manager doesn’t have any trust in him deservedly so.

Good choice on the gameball. Watching the phillies feed they were scratching their head at Collins decision to pull Capuano when he did. They felt he was doing the Phillies a favor by pulling Capuano there.

I believe Capuano was quoted to say that he understood the decision to take him out fwiw.

Off Topic: I am reading that Dickey hopes to make his next start? Is the tear not that serious that this is even a consideration?

Murphy opnly made one bad play. The play where he didnt guard the line was by instructions from Collins to Turner and him to play more iin from the line.

I was at the game and didn’t understand why they pulled capuano with 78 pitches in the best performance of the year for the lefty.Removing hom for Willie Harris in a tie game made no sense.He had the same chance to get a hit as Harris the out machine did.Harris and Hairston and Bay are killing this team all year
