K-Rod other than his show of the old 86 Hit em out Punch em Out attitude because he was tired of his team being pushed around has been nothing but Stellar and reliable! He does have a penchant for the dramatic but in the end he usually winds up kissing to the sky with the save and our Victory!

Elite Closer Again? When did he stop being an elite closer? When he beat up an old man? In 2010, he had a strikeout rate of 10.5/9 IP (his best since 2007), an ERA of 2.20 (his best since 2006) and a WHIP of 1.151 (his best since 2006). This guy never stopped being an elite closer. Forget about the other nonsense that occurred with K-Rod last season…he is still a top 5 (or better) closer in all of baseball.

If they trade away Reyes and Beltran then t really won’t matter who it is, they won’t be getting many save opportunities! LOL

My guess is if it goes that fat they will make either Parnell or Beato the closer.
Who know maybe even throw Isringhausen there for the rest of the year.

Don’t really need a closer unless you have a lead in the 9th inning. I wouldn’t expect many if you trade away the two biggest bats in your linup to fill up Buffalo’s roster!

No excuse to hit a person EVER, But why would asking that question set him off?

Maybe because he WANTED to pitched, didn’t get called on and we lost?

If we had won the game would he have gone off?

NO!

KRod was pissed BEFORE the assault. Before the statements that set him off.
He was pissed that he was ready to go and could have won that game for us, and because he didn’t go in we lost.

He was SICK OF LOSING! and just about the only player on the team last year that seemed to care enough to go nuts over it!

ou can accuse him of not being able to control his temper but you sure can’t say he doesn’t care about what happens in a game!

He wanted the ball so he could get us the win. He didn’t get it and neither did we get the win!

That upset him and he was brooding. It wasn’t until his FinLaw told him to be a man and stop brooding that he threw the punches! Because he was already pissed about the losing to have that comment throw him over the edge.

Not condoning that act just pointing out that K-Rod did the act because he was as sick of losing as we were, Only HE could have done something to stop it and wasn’t given the chance!

well,if i;m not mistaken, he went “beserk” because he was asked why he didn’t pitch in the 8th, when jerry had the chance he brought in manny acosta and he gave up a grand salami to melvin mora, then krod was upset, sort of like wagner when he was asked questions and he didn’t even pitch that night.. no excuses though, what he did was inexcusable, we all get mad, but is no excuse to hit an older person or a woman..

Just wanted to add…
You know K-Rod was a butthead for beating up the old guy and doing more damage to himself that his intended victim….

But you have to admit the reason he went berserk was because we were losing horribly at the time and like it or not he was the only one on that team last year that seemed to be bothered by that constant losing!

Thats not an excuse for assault but it is an indication of his desire to win ballgames.
cant’t say that about a lot of players we have!
