I agree. I’ve ben very encouraged with Capuano so far this season. His ERA doesn’t show it, but he has some very good strike out rates, but too many walks. But if he gets one pitch to Espinosa back in thst Washington game, it’s becomes a great outing and against Colorado, he pitched well through five and lost it in the 6th, which is not uncommon for a pitcher early in the season coming off an injury. It seemed to me to be just an arm strength issue. He’d build it up as he went, and he didn’t disappoint tonight. His xFIP this season is 3.70, which further suggests he’s pitching better than the results show.

I thought it was interesting that you gave the gameball to the team. I liked that, it was a good decision by you and I agree it was a team effort. That shot by Ike Davis was one of the most majestic homeruns I’ve seen in Citi to dead center. Looked like it went further than Dunn’s shot in 2009. As for Capuano the more I see the more I like. I hope he continues to pitch like this though lets see how he does when it’s not a bottom feeder like the Stros.
