Ever since the end of the season, I wanted Mark Cohoon to receive a Spring Training invite. While it didn’t happen, it’s performances like this that make me hope he’ll be up here by Memorial Day weekend or late June-July. I have a lot more faith in him than Niese.

If we do go into rebuilding mode, which seems to be where were headed, we seem to have quite the rotation on our hands. I literally jumped up and down when I learned they drafted Matt Harvey.

Not alot of people know this, but in his final college start, he had the flu and almost did not start. I do not remember the exact numbers but I believe he went the entire game and on his 167th pitch blew a 96 mph fastball right past the batter for a swinging strike to end the game.

As for Matz, do you know when he’s coming back from his tommy john surgery?

If the Mets were smart they would trade Pelfrey now before his value gets any worse, maybe to the Yankees or the Cardinals. Play for a big step up in 2012 and post season in 2013. We have some good prospects thar are better than what we have on the team now. Move them for more prospects and have a youth movement.

The best news actually is that the metsies, are deep in the cellar and ain’t getting out for years to come. only a jerk, says the best news is when some minor leaguer has a good game. For smart people and real fans the best news is when the big club wins. But false agee hates the big club. The worst metsie in history. HATES HIS OWEN CLUB!!!!

The best time line for Harvey is for him to compete for a rotation spot in ST 2013. That gives him the next two seasons to split between Hi-A, AA and AAA.

This is the best news around here since Perez got DFA’d. I just hope Harvey, Mejia, Famillia, Urbina, Matz, Cohoon and all the rest are developed properly, not rushed, not given too much of a workload, just taught and polished.
