Thye don’t hit in key situatuions, strike out more than my stock picks, and have no clue why they even have a bat in their hand. Yeah Halladay may be one of the top five pitchers in baseball but even mediocre pitchers make this bunch look like batting cage little leaguers. Why all the comments in the posts about changing the lineup? What are you goin to do, change lousy hitters to another spot and then just make more excuses. I agree with fans who say except for one or two guys put them all on the trade market. Heck we’re in last place and 7.5 games out of first. At this rate come september we’ll be 35 games out of first. Can it get any worse? My MLB.TV subscription was peeing money down the perverbial rat hole! This team is a disgrace to New York and MLB. Now Lou tell me how you really feel!

Lets see. Halladay is the best in the game on the mound and Jason Bay isn’t the best in the game at the plate. Halladay eats up the Jason Bay’s of the world every outing. If it were easy everyone would hit 500 and Halladay would be no better than Mike Pelfrey.

You can say that again, Sean. The first two pitches Halladay threw to Bay were GARBAGE pitches that were low and outside in the 9th inning, yet Bay foolishly hacked at it & missed both times. Why can’t this man lay off stuff like that? He does this crap over and over again, even in a big spot.

Halladay pitched a great game. The guy went 9 full. Niese only went 6 1/4 and ran out of gas. Baseball is a 9 inning game. Really good pitchers pitch deep into game not just 6 1/4. Lets face it everyone here knows Niese was going to give up the one run lead. Halladay never was once he got it. Thats what makes you great. So final score= Niese very good, Halladay great!
