Hairston Starting In Left, Not Harris
In an error on the Mets emailing list, it stated that Willie Harris would have the start for the series opener versus LHP Wandy Rodriguez. This is not the case, Scott Hairston will get the start versus the Dominican hurler.
At first this did not make sense because Hairston is an absolute monster versus Rodriguez. Hairston in his career has a .545 average (6-11) with two homers and three RBIs when facing the 32-year old southpaw.
Hopefully Hairston’s prior success versus Rodriguez can generate some offense to get the Mets back on track. Offense should not be a problem tonight though, considering Reyes is swinging a hot bat and Wright will be facing a lefty.

Let’s continue our winning streak of one game!!!
It’s great to have a streak.
Hairston looks like Dave Kingman playing LF. Hands of stone.
Haha yea great play in left huh?
This is why bench players are bench players. Once a week is fine with pinch-hitting in between. Hairston and Harris should be coming off the bench, not playing everyday.
I agree to an extent. but to be fair Harris has been doing a pretty nice job.
