If he keeps it up, he’ll have 50 errors this season. I hope he turns it around, but right now, he’s not ready to play 2B in the majors ( or SS ). He might not be able to handle AAA.

Greinke: DURING last season people on here said the Mets should trade David Wright for Zack Greinke. To which I replied there was no reason in the world KC would do that. Prior to Greinke being put on the block,

Ruben Tejada has committed 5 errors in 13 games this year and has a .902 fielding percentage. This guy is botching one out of every ten attempts and committing an error every three games.

I think you have something mixed up. Tejada didn’t get 3 hits he didn’t get 2 doubles he didn’t drive in 4 runs and he didn’t have a hit in the 1st game.

This coming from the same guy who said Garza and Grienke were not on the trade block and demanded links and proof from me that the GM’s said they were on the block. Than when I provided them he said I shouldn’t believe everything I read. Of course a couple of weeks later Grienke was traded, and a week after that Garza. The reason I brang them up at the time was because I thought we should have traded Pelfrey and prospects to get one or the other. After the trades he told me they would not have wanted to come to the Mets anyway? First the players had no veto power, and second what was he basing this Mets bias by them on?

His latest pearl of wisdom came yesterday saying there is no chance Jose Reyes will give the Mets a hometown discount, when I reminded him Reyes has already done this in the past plus has said many times he wanted to stay in NY.

Why is it so unrealistic to believe the the Mets and Reyes can come to an agreement? Why is thinking that there is still a good chance Reyes remains a Met such a ridiculous notion that he had to mock my opinion?

Didn’t Alderson already say that with some players, their relationship with the fans has to be weighed heavily and that Reyes was one such player? I tried to find the quote, but I couldn’t but maybe someone else can verify they read or heard him say something like that.

And for the record, I believe in order to compete for the WC it would have to be almost a perfect storm. Not impossible, just not probable.

It’s plain and simple really. The Mets finished 12 games out of the wildcard in 2010, and had no young prospects coming up to fill in the gaps. They are an overpaid/understaffed team and that is what Alderson inherited.

You don’t contend for a wildcard when you have to purchase 5 of your 7 bullpen arms through free agency. If you’re a middle reliever on the free agent market, odds are better that you are average at best. Bullpens are built through the farm.

2B was an inherited disaster, CF relied on a 29 year old who had 1 good year, and their 2nd best pitcher in Pelfrey would be a #4 on half the national league probably.
