You have got to be kidding yourself, you certainly aren’t kidding anyone else.. You make it sound like the hitless streak was the norm for him as if he’s a career .200 hitter. He had more then just a 2 homerun game in the last week or are you one of those that just watch the negative?

I’m still not convinced that Thole is an everyday catcher. It was nice to see him play a big role in the win, but I still believe the Mets need a better longer term solution behind the plate. We have a pitchers park and yet we dont have the supporting cast behind the dish or in the rotation. This is something that should have been addressed this offseason, and I hope that it’s on the radar for the upcoming trade deadline. We should have went after Russell Martin, we needed him more than the Yankees did.

There’s no question the bullpen has been more effective since the starting pitchers have gone deeper. Lets hope this trend continues. It looks like Wright’s 2 homer game was a fluke and he’s back to what he looked like during his 20 AB hitless streak last week.
