Amen, a great bat will trump subpar fielding any day. I happen to think Murph is going to get better and better at 2nd Base.

Turner should be happy to warm the bench now. All I can say is thank God Collins had the smarts to insert DM when he did–seven innings too late–but still. Not sure JMAN would have done something similar

In addition the ump was behind the play towards home and not up the line towards left field, behind the play; another instance of a ump being out of position.
The only movement from Jose’s hand was when Hairston Jr. moved it.

I was a critic earlier of this lineup, Nickeas caught R.A. pretty well scored a run and Turner also scored the 1st run but Hairston continues to be all or nothing.

David seems to have lost his mojo against lefties.

I think the bad call and Terry coming out to take up the argument for Jose was a big moment and showed me that Mets do have “grit”, coming back in 9th.

This proves that this team needs Murphy to play every day. They did nothing until Murph got his HR and tied the game. Then they started hitting and Murphy put the icing on the cake with a 2RBI double against a Left hand pitcher. (Collins Murphy can hit them,)

Great win. Tonight’s game was a HUGE reason why there should be more instant replay calls than just on HR calls. I don’t blame Reyes one bit for flipping out the way he did. That was such a bullshit call it wasn’t even funny. How do you call someone out when they have their hand AND foot on the damn bag? Thank goodness for guys like Murphy, Thole, Bay, Hu and the rest of the team for getting fired up the way they were after that horrible call. One of the best games/comebacks I’ve seen in a while…and for me, it couldn’t have come on a better day

Reyes would have made a heckuva gymnast. When the ump blew the call in the 8th inning, Reyes jumped so high, I thought he’d do a flip in the air. Reyes now is running under control.
