I would say Slim but if they keep Isringhausen then it becomes way more likely.
But I wouldn’t do it only because it would be a big blow to Parnell’s psyche.

I like Jason and he has pitched well considering but he also had to miss a game due to injury issues and that doesn’t bode well when you consider that he will need to be able to go almost every day as the 8th inning guy.

Misch might get used once in a blue moon but he could add value to a trade package where Jason would not.

I would not like to lose the insurance Misch provides. I don’t know what the Mets will do but what are the odds that they send a Parnell down to start the season if he has option so they can hold on to Misch?

Am I the only one who thinks that Losing Misch to keep Isringhausen is very short sighted?

Isringhausen will give us at most a year of pitching, and can’t really get anything back or have any value as part of a trade.

Misch may not be great but he has some years ahead of him, can pitch long relief or start and would easily fit as a kicker to any potential trades we might make this year or next.

Doesn’t it make much more sense to keep Misch over Isringhausen despite the fact he might be a good late inning relief option?

How long will Izzy last? With Young and Capuano a swing man is vital. If that swing man could also be a 2nd LOOGY that would be a good match.
