The team lost money last year because of ticket sales not some bad Wilpon investment!

If we are competing then the stands will get filled and the money will flow so there is no reason not to go and trade for a guy who makes a lot of money!

Especially when Beltran and Reyes’s money comes out of the budget at the end of the year!

If they couldn’t spend more than 8 million this offseason where their biggest expense was Capuano for 1.5 million, what makes you think they would trade for a players who is making lets say 15 million, even if he’s only owed half that at the trade deadline?
