Look Who’s Number 1

Mookie Wilson officially has switched his uniform number back to No. 1. The number became available after the Mets released second baseman Luis Castillo.

That didn’t take very long at all, did it. Order is finally restored in Metsdom.

  • Gets by Buckner!!!

  • Love this. Much more deserving than Castillo!

  • Mookie has always been #1 in my heart.

  • MOOOOOKIE !!

    Welcome back, #1.

  • This begs the Question…

    Can Mookie play Second? LOL

  • Castillo should of given up that number to show he had some sense of Mets and what Mookie meant to franchise.

  • Certainly worth more than $6M just to set tht straight!
