Izzy Could Go To Extended Spring Training?

As we all know, Izzy (Jason Isringhausen) is on his way back from an elbow injury. With about 1 spot left in the bullpen, (with Sandy Alderson saying that Pedro Beato will probably make the roster) some are wondering if he will even make the bullpen. Well, it may still be a possibility.

According to Mike Puma of the New York Post, Jason Isringhausen has stated he will not accept a minor-league assignment.

Mike Puma also states in the article that Izzy could go onto an extended spring training if the Mets are not happy with the recovery.
