He looked good. He said the pitchers did so well today he didnt get a chance for a double play.Then went out behind the field to practise at 2nd some more. This kid wants the job badly.

I hope that isn’t the line of thinking. I like Alderson because he considers a wide variety of options.

That said, Hairston has looked good so far too and pretty much fits Evans’ profile. Too bad the previous administration burned up all of Evans’ options.

I think they should look to trade Evans to a team that needs a righty utility guy but is too far down the waiver list to wait for him. Is there any such team?

I’m just saying he’s flat footed. And yes, having a center and right fielder that can cover that much ground will help.

But I’m still suspect of Bay’s abilities in the field.

No. It doesn’t work that way. If the powers that be feel they are ready to help the big club now then they should come north.

If those three were to make the team, it would mean that the only addition from Alderson on offense would be Paulino who isn’t even in the country yet. He wont let that happen because in essence it would be almost 100% Omar Minaya’s team. All the guys he brought in have the upper hands and dont think otherwise.

He hustles all the time in the outfield and has decent range. Ironically, his hustle led to his concussion when he smashed into the wall last year. Having Pagan in center will not only help Betran adjust, but it will also help Bay.
