Mike deserves as many accolades as he can hang on his wall for working hard enough to overcome his inability to coordinate his feet either in hitting,throwing or fielding. Thus his excellence as a “backstop”. His inability to throw out runners mostly attributed to lousy footwork, his 1B defense exposed by footwork limitations, his hitting with both feet as if they were cemented in place, arms only is testament to his hard work to overcomehis apparent inability to walk & chew gum simultaneously.
