It’s great to come to a site and debate, there’s plenty to debate, but you are incapable of debate, your opinion is the end all. When someone is so stubborn to realize that someone else may have another thought that makes actual sense you are too ignorant to follow it to realize that maybe that is something you didn’t think of.

create your negative jusgements towards the Wilpons in this matter?

Anyone can accuse but proof of guilt is much harder.
If you were the Wilpons and know you did nothing wrong, should you have to give up everything you own and put it in the hands of strangers until such time as those false allegations go away or are disproved?

If someone falsely accused you of abusing your child should you send your kids to an orphanage or be forced to put your child’s welfare into the hands of people who don’t really care about YOUR kids, Or send them to a foster home where they just care about the money they are going to make off you? All because the only thing you need to have to accuse is a voice?

Is the Wilpons having legal issue really an excuse for a player to not pay attention to the job at hand and performing?

I don’t want to defend the Wilpons I don’t know anything about what happened with them and Madoff. But I know if I were in their position and knew I was innocent I would want that protection of Innocent until proven guilty to apply and I will honor that when it is others in that situation…

I may not be very religious but “do unto others” regardless of your beliefs is a pretty good way to approach life don’t you think?

We should stay out of this unless called to testify and just leave them alone.
We fans are making more of this than should be and I am left to wonder why?

Even if Madoff had not occurred we would not have cliff lee pitching for us and even if we got a 2nd baseman in FA the truth of the matter is this season is going to be all about what Beltran does, not the GM not the Wilpons and not some judge in the Madoff case.

Putting the team in someone else’s control without a clear sale would lead to MORE uncertainty with the players than the Wilpons just playing it out.

The baseball field should operate independently from the courtroom.
And if it doesn’t the problem will be the Players not Madoff or the Wilpons!

and the more we talk bad about the Wilpons the harder it becomes for them to even get a fair trial!

We should just leave them alone and let the lawyers handle it.

They are not FOCUSED on the task at hand! And haven’t been since way before Madoff sprung up on the radar!

And the bottom line issue everyone who hates the WIlpons seems to skirt around is if the Wilpons ARE Guilty for not knowing it was a scam, SO TOO are the people suing them for not knowing it was a scam! Cause they should have known just as much as the Wilpons!

This revelation undermines baby al’s contention that the Wilpon clan was in some sort of a conspiratorial relationship with Bernie Madoff. But Bernie said otherwise, so I believe it, as we all should. Doesn’t Bernie make a wonderful character witness in the high stakes money game being played out with trustee Irving Picard?
