Dude, I don’t know how Santana telling Francesa he would not consider not coming back this year a set back have anything to do with your original comment which was,

After I corrected you that you was wrong to suggest they saying different things you changed the focus and replied with,

“johan santana will not be toeing the rubber at citi field in july.i wish he would be. santana said to francesa he would NOT CONSIDER it a setback if he DIDN’T pitch this year.”

To which I explained you are right to not expect him back and Santana and Alderson are telling you that all is dependant on how the shoulder responds.

Now you say,

So again if now your trying to say that this is code for he really doesnt expect to be back. Well i will let you have your conspiracy theory.

All I am saying is I as it seems you agree that we do not expect Santana back this year. If he does great but right now all that both Santana and Alderson have said is barring setback (in other words BEST case scenario) Santana can return at the earliest late June or mid July.

You do that as you please. All the other stuff u said is nothin i care to engage you in.

when santana told francesa he would not consider not coming back this year a set back…. that says it all.u, kind friend, are the last one who should talk about a run of words…which is your wont.it seems u jump from blog to blog talking about “how cool” the wallpaper is and so on.a true met fan would consider wins cool,trades cool…not wallpaper. i will get back to u at the end of july we will then see if santana is on the pile at citi or just another diabled ghost who didn’t return.i hope u are right and i am wrong (that would be a first). how would u rate the wilponzie mobs record of stewardship over the past 32 years?compare them to the phillies over the past 4 years.(hopefully in 20000 words or less!)

Honestly, if he is expected back by late July and we are already out of contention, why even bother bringing him back other than to get some major league work. I say if by the All-star break, if Santana’s return is still a month off and the Mets are out of it, don’t bother rushing him back. In fact, I would even be hesitant about putting him out there because he might feel compelled to give more than he is capable of giving to try and bring the Mets back into contention.

If the Mets are still in contention by the time he is ready to return, well then a whole hell of a lot of other things must have gone right for that to happen, and then adding Santana should add that needed late season shot in the arm.

The important thing to keep in mind is that we need a Healthy no problems Santana from here on out. We can not keep up this major surgery every year and thus have Santana for half seasons. If it takes all of the 2011 season to get him back to 100% so be it, atleast we will have a 100% Santana for the next 2 years to go for a title once we add Pujols (sorry, had to add that in there).

now to the important question freddyes incompetence of 32 years at the good ship wilponzie. are u finally ready to admit freddye has been leader for 32 years…he certainly feels he has been.actually he seems to be taking pride in his 5 playoffs in 32 year record. do u happen to realize that the phillies will probally pass his accomplishments once they make the playoffs this year(in the last 5 years not 32).they still don’t have tv network revnue to use to procure players as wilponzie does..yet they have made the wilponzies their punching bags,despite that!finally several weeks ago i think u were mussing about how tough the nl east has become…u seemed overjoyed by this development!can i take it u are a baseball purist who just hangs out on this met fan site just to kill time between other blogs?one last fact aldersen only lies when his lips move,despite your mussings to the contray!he is minaya with a harvard pedigree.

again july would be best case scenario. of course you should expect his return to take longer. heck if listen both alderson and santana are tellin you it may take longer. so stop tryin to suggest they r saying otherwise or not on the same page when clearly you are incorrect as well. all today was was an outline on where they hope it will take 4 santana to be back nuthin more.

Also keep in mind both Santana and Alderson have maintained that it all depends on how things go and no one is rushing the process.

Alderson went as far as to say (rightly so I might add) “It’s the shoulder that’s going to lead this process. It’s not the doctors. It’s not the front office. It’s how the shoulder responds.”
