Mets fans put too much stock in their prospects but none of them including the better ones turn out to be nothing to get excited about. Remember all the raving lunatics when we traded Scott Kazmir?? Where are the now??? Kazmir is as valuable as a dozen donuts.

I didnt know about this site and I’m always looking for new Mets sites to read especially one that covers the minor leagues. I was surprised to see Sean Ratliffe mentioned as the propsect who took the biggest step forward. I would have gone with either Mark Cohoon or Lucas Duda. Nice job overall though.

It’s amazing how many different people feel so highly of Flores’s hitting. At 19 and expected to start the year at St Lucie he may be playing for Backman by June.

I was skeptical of F-Mart when we first got him, and I’m just as skeptical of Flores. Players with no track record of success should never be put at the top of an organizational prospect list at age 16 just because they could hit a can with a stick. I think it was insulting to polished prospects like Ike Davis and Josh Thole to get buried on prospects list by these international players that never even swung a Louisville Slugger or owned a Rawlings glove. Teenage hitting machines my butt.
