Reds Reward MVP Joey Votto with 3-Year Deal
The Cincinatti Reds were one of baseball’s surprising teams this past season. No one expected them to go out there every night and contend with the St. Louis Cardinals for the NL Central division title.
Joey Votto was a key factor in the Reds first division title in 15 years. Because of his contributions offensively and defensively, He was named NL MVP over Carlos Gonzalez and Albert Pujols.
Now that arbitration is apon us, it appears Joey Votto got a huge reward for all those contributions.
According to multiple reports, the Cincinatti Reds and Joey Votto have agreed to a 3-year, $38 million dollar deal, pending a physical.
